International students of Omsk State Pedagogical University attended the final bouts of the Siberian Boxing Championship. The outing was organized to engage foreign students and help them adapt to life in Omsk.
The students watched the athletes battle for the gold medal and the champion's title. The championship drew competitors from ten Russian regions to Omsk. For foreign students, this was not just a trip to a match, but a true immersion into the sporting culture of our region.
The tournament atmosphere was truly spectacular: every fight featured intense competition, enthusiastic crowd support, and genuine emotion. The students got to see firsthand how character, composure, and the will to win come through in the ring – qualities that are valued not only in sports, but in life.
"Watching boxing is very exciting. Every bout is full of suspense – you never know who will win. All the boxers are giving it their all and showing true sportsmanship," shared student Sun Zhengyu.
Watching the spectacular fights and interacting with the fans allowed the students to feel like part of a major sporting event. Such initiatives make the adaptation process for international students more natural and filled with positive emotions.
