Omsk State Pedagogical University takes the leading place among the universities of Omsk in terms of the number of foreign students and trainees.
Russian language teaching is carried out with the help of special teaching aids and materials. The main language of instruction is Russian, partly teaching is carried out in foreign languages.
Training takes place from September to June, it is possible to start studying the Russian language at any convenient time. Classes are held in person and online, in groups and individually.

For admission to Russian language courses at Omsk State Pedagogical University, foreign citizens must submit the following documents:
- Apply online;
- Scan of the passport;
- Education document.
Documents should be sent to the e-mail of the International Cooperation Office: common@omgpu.ru.
The package of documents received by the university passes a special check, after which a notification is sent to the candidate by e-mail.
In order to study on a full-time basis, citizens of visa countries need an ordinary study visa.
In case of a positive decision to enrol a foreign citizen, the university sends the documents to the Department of Internal Affairs of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for approval and issuance of an invitation for a visa citizen.
The university issues an electronic invitation. The whole procedure takes from 30 to 60 working days.
