Russian Language Ambassadors in Vietnam

13.03.2025

The assistant of the Department of Russian Language and Linguodidactics of OSPU Ksenia Artemeva visited Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam, with an educational expedition as a participant of the Russian Language Ambassador in the World program.

During the first days, the ambassadors introduced the students of Nguyen Hue High School for the Gifted to the Seven Wonders of Russia, taught the students of the Institute of Foreign Languages to make a Fire Horse toy, and told the students of Hanoi-Amsterdam High School for the Gifted about the great Russian artists.

"We held our first classes in Vietnam at Nguyen Hue High School for the Gifted, where the following words were written on the wall: "If you think decades ahead, plant a tree. If you think a century ahead, educate a person." The modern world is open to dialogue, to the cross-cultural interaction, and our program is proof of this. It is good to think about the future, but it is also important to live in the present. And now we decided to tell the world about the Russian language and culture, as well as to learn the traditions and customs of the country in which we conduct classes for local students," tells Ksenia Artemeva.

Russian Language Ambassadors in the World is an international volunteer program that has been implemented by Pushkin State Russian Language Institute since 2015. Its goal is to spread knowledge about the Russian language, culture, and literature in Russia and abroad. Students, postgraduates and young scientists participate in educational expeditions, teach children from different parts of the world and introduce them to Russian culture, language, and literature.

Ksenia Artemeva received the status of Ambassador of the Russian Language in the World in 2018 and continues to actively participate in educational expeditions. Ksenia has already visited Turkey and Kyrgyzstan within the program.
