Omsk State Pedagogical University was visited by faculty members from Kyrgyz State University named after Ishenaly Arabaev. The guests included Professor Yuristanbek Shygayev and Associate Professor Ainura Muratova. The purpose of the visit was to develop international interuniversity cooperation, exchange experiences in the field of fine arts and academic art education, as well as to explore the university’s facilities and teaching methods in order to foster bilateral cooperation and student academic mobility. The visit took place as part of the academic mobility program.
Ainura Muratova gave lectures and workshops on the following topics: “Music Therapy and Health-Preserving Technology in Music Lessons” and “Speech Culture and Speech Technique for Teachers”. They also met with OSPU staff, visited the university’s workshops, and took a tour of Omsk. The guests went to the city’s museums: the Liberov Centre, the Kondraty Belov Museum, and the City Museum “Art of Omsk”.
A special event was the opening of Yuristanbek Shygayev’s solo exhibition “My Aitmatov” at the M.A. Vrubel Omsk Regional Museum of Fine Arts, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of Kyrgyz writer Chingiz Aitmatov. The exhibition was attended by students and teachers of the Faculty of Arts of, for whom it was an opportunity to get acquainted with the artist’s work and delve deeper into the cultural heritage of Kyrgyzstan. As part of the visit, a film screening and a presentation of the artist’s book also took place.
The visit was an important step in strengthening professional and cultural ties between the universities. Such meetings to exchange experiences, provide insight into educational methods from different countries, and open up new opportunities for further cooperation.
